I am loving what I just found for my son, Austin. I was reading a post on another blog and there was a link to this great educational site. Starfall It is a wonderful site to help your child learn to read or improve their reading skills. There are activities to help your child learn all the sound blends with audio lessons included! There are books to listen to with animation in them. There are different sections depending on what reading level your child is on. The site was supposedly made to help 1st graders, but pre-kindergartners, kindergartners, and 2nd graders will enjoy this site, too. My son did not want to put the computer down this evening. He loved all the activities and was reading words that I didn't think he knew. I really think that this site will be a huge help to him. So, if you have a child who is beginning to learn to read or is right in the middle, you should check out this site. Oh, and did I mention that it was free!
